Electromagnetic wave behaviour within Biological Systems

    The interaction of Electromagnetic (EM) waves with biological tissues is of a major importance in assessing the effects of communication devices on humans or animal or in medical assessments (Such as Imaging or detection of strokes) and treatments (such as Cancer treatment).

    The majority of our work focuses on the development of improved measurement and computation methods to evaluate the way in which the wave propagates within the biological matter and how would this impact both the propagation pattern and the energy deposition within the biological medium.
